Designer Spotlight
In collaboration with Sherwin Williams, designer Kayla Burris used a beautiful emerald green called Westhaven, for her spotlight. The vignette is full of rich earthy tones, and bold black pieces, creating a dark and moody sophisticated feel.
A star of the show was the root sculpture, used to divide the area into two spaces, the wood was sustainably forested and handcrafted to uncover its natural beauty. Along with this sculpture, Kayla incorporated natural elements throughout the design, like the Taracea console with naturally aged metal warped into organic shapes.
The end result blended natural comfort with cozy deep hues and clean modern lines for a boldly comforting space. It welcomes you like an aristocratic 1930’s study, a glass of scotch, and a Faulkner novel.
