Biltmore Park Artisanal - Atelier Maison & Co.

Biltmore Park Artisanal

Perched in Biltmore Park with sweeping views of the Western North Carolina mountains, this home is a celebration of nature and thoughtful design. The space, designed by Lisa Chamberlin, embraces natural materials, rich textures, and abundant daylight.

Vaulted ceilings soar above the great room, while accordion glass doors open onto a screened porch, blending indoor comfort with the surrounding landscape.

Inside, a warm and inviting palette sets the tone — rich, layered hues and a tactile mix of wood, leather and textiles create an environment that is both elegant and grounded. The client’s curated collection of antiques adds depth and authenticity, telling stories of time and travel.

The living room strikes a harmonious balance between heritage and contemporary design. A hand-knotted Jaipur rug, crafted from handspun wool, anchors the space with its authentic, timeworn beauty. Carefully chosen furniture and layered textures make the room feel timeless yet fresh.

Palecek dining chairs compliment the artisan made dining table and bring a refined silhouette to the space. Crafted with hardwood frames, each chair features hand-twisted natural lampakanay rope woven into a distinctive tiered design on the outside back.

A serene sanctuary, the primary bedroom uses green as its foundation — a color known for its calming, grounding effect. Paired with warm wood texture on the wall, the space exudes peaceful sophistication. A Kalaty rug, inspired by classic Oushak patterns and hand-knotted from handspun wool, adds a soft vintage feel. Custom bedding and two reupholstered accent chairs give new life to existing pieces, deepening the sense of personal connection. Framed by a grand window, the room offers a strong sense of connection to the outdoors.

Downstairs, the design leans into contemporary comfort and tactile richness. A Lee sectional anchors the family’s gathering space, while a custom loveseat with nailhead detailing sits at the game table — created with the client’s grandchildren in mind. Tribal-inspired fabric pairs effortlessly with vintage kilim throw pillows, while modern wool rugs with bold geometric patterns add visual interest and modern flair.
