Stag Brook Cottages | Thoughtful Home Staging by Kayla Burris
The Stag Brook Cottages development reflects a refined approach to mountain living—one that values warmth, light, and livability. In close collaboration with Kayla Burris, Atelier Maison & Co. helped bring these homes to life through intentional furnishings, a grounded color palette, and thoughtful styling that enhances both architecture and everyday function.
Designed to resonate with modern buyers while honoring the home’s English-inspired roots, the staging emphasizes comfort, clarity, and connection—allowing each space to feel inviting, elevated, and ready to be lived in.
A refined, neutral palette of soft sage, warm oak, and earthy tones was selected to complement the cottages’ timeless materials and English-inspired architecture. Rather than overpower the space, the furnishings and finishes were chosen to feel quietly supportive—allowing natural light, texture, and proportion to take center stage.
Each element was carefully scaled to the home, reinforcing a sense of balance and ease while creating continuity from room to room.
The main living areas were thoughtfully staged to highlight the home’s hearth-centered Lodge Room and its abundant natural light. Warm, well-proportioned furnishings were arranged to encourage conversation and connection, reinforcing the room’s role as the heart of the home.
Dining spaces were styled for effortless entertaining, using layered textures and understated table settings to suggest both comfort and refinement—spaces that feel equally suited for everyday meals and special gatherings.
In the kitchen, a minimal staging approach allowed the architecture and flow to shine. Seating and curated accessories were intentionally restrained, emphasizing functionality, movement, and the home’s natural gathering potential without distraction.
Bedrooms and secondary spaces were styled as serene retreats. Intentional furnishings, soft textiles, and subtle vignettes support a sense of calm and livability, offering future homeowners a clear vision of how each space can feel restorative yet refined.
At Stag Brook Cottages, staging was not about filling rooms—it was about revealing potential. By emphasizing natural light, flow, and proportion, the design invites buyers to imagine a lifestyle that feels both aspirational and attainable.
This project reflects Atelier Maison & Co.’s belief that well-considered furnishings and thoughtful styling play a critical role in how a home is experienced, marketed, and ultimately remembered.
