Our Design Process
At Atelier Maison & Co., we follow a meticulous process to ensure your design vision is brought to life seamlessly. Here’s a step-by-step overview of our approach:
Step 1
Your Journey Begins Here
During your intro call with Kayla, you will discuss the timeline, budget, and general scope to get an idea of your project. If it sounds like a good fit, we will move forward. Our initial agreement includes a retainer covering the first 10 to 15 hours of design work.
This initial conversation sets the foundation for a successful project. Kayla will ensure all your questions are answered and outline the next steps in our design process.
Step 2
Where the Magic Happens
A Deeper Dive
After your initial conversation, we’ll find a time to discuss your project in more detail. This discussion will help us understand your expectations, lifestyle, and style preferences.
Home Consultation
We will schedule video calls or visit your space to discuss your vision and get a feel for your environment. We will review fabric and finish sample options, and measure the space and furniture for the layouts and renderings.
Studio Visit
If you visit our studio, you can see pieces on showroom floor or experience different cushion and size options. Our Design Resource Center hosts a huge selection of fabrics and customizations for your project.
Step 3
Finalizing Your Design
This is where rubber meets the road! You’ll meet again to look over your design consultant’s suggestions. They may include a floor layout, review of furniture and accessories, stain chips, even rug choices.
You may love the design instantly, or it might be a more organic process.
When you’re 100% on board, we’ll place the order. We have everything from instantly available in-stock items, quick ship items a few weeks away, and fully custom items that can take several weeks. If you’re taking the time to design your space, you probably will want to customize some aspects of your furniture, even if it’s just one unique piece that adds that perfect flair of personality.
Step 4
Seamless Delivery
Once your order is ready, we’ll contact you to schedule a convenient delivery time. Our team will handle everything, ensuring your new pieces are placed perfectly in your home. For virtual design services, we will coordinate long distance delivery with third-party carriers and will provide costs and estimates directly to the client on a case-by-case basis. Your design consultant can be present for delivery for the cost of travel expenses.
We will follow up to ensure you’re completely satisfied with your new furnishings. Our ongoing support will keep your pieces looking and feeling as good as new. We’re committed to building lasting relationships and providing exceptional service for the life of your furniture.
