We want to express our gratitude to our clients and friends for reaching out during this time. Thankfully, our team and families are all safe and accounted for. While our office has incurred some damage, we consider ourselves very fortunate overall. Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to everyone in the community affected by the hurricane, especially those who have suffered loss or displacement. The devastation in our community is horrible. Lives have been tragically lost, and homes and businesses have been destroyed.
We are remaining closed for the time being, but we are cleaning and repairing our facilities and our team is slowly coming back online. We will keep everyone updated through our social media.
For those eager to make a difference, we encourage you to explore opportunities with our charity partners. These organizations are actively providing much-needed assistance and relief, and your support can have a significant impact. Continue reading to learn how you can help.
Our Charity Partners
Black Mountain Home
One of our valued charity partners, Black Mountain Home for Children, Youth, and Families, has shared updates amidst the recent events. We are relieved to hear that all staff and youth are safe and accounted for, and they extend their gratitude for the continued support and prayers.
Like much of Black Mountain, their campus was significantly impacted. If you are looking for ways to give aid, they have set up a disaster relief fund here.
There is an immediate need for large potable water storage units, generator fuel, non-perishable food items, and paper products. To coordinate logistics and secure the safety of the children, please send a private message through their Facebook Page here including your name, any group affiliation, phone number, and email. All campus visits must be pre-arranged and approved.
Western Carolina Rescue Ministries
According to their most recent update on September 30th, while the Mission currently has power, they don’t have water. Despite these challenges, they continue their essential work of cooking and providing for both residents and the homeless community.
The Mission is in urgent need of water, which is critical for cooking, sanitation, and caring for infants who need formula. We urge anyone who is able to help to bring gallons of water to 225 Patton Ave in downtown. They are also able to boil water, helping to maximize any contributions received.
For those who are not able to donate water directly but wish to assist, Western Carolina Rescue Ministries is accepting financial donations. You can contribute here. Your support will help them continue their crucial work during this challenging time.
Bounty & Soul
In partnership with World Central Kitchen, Bounty & Soul has mobilized to distribute food and hot meals in the Black Mountain and Swannanoa Valley areas in response to Hurricane Helene.
To support these critical efforts, Bounty & Soul has established a Disaster Relief Fund dedicated to their food distribution initiatives. Although we don’t have current updates on their facilities, they continue to keep the community informed about food resources through their social media channels.
We encourage everyone to follow Bounty & Soul’s updates and consider contributing to their essential work during this challenging time.
