Round Hill Retreat

Nestled in the coveted Round Hill Estates community of Sapphire, NC, this inviting mountain home sits on the serene shoreline of Fairfield Lake. What began as a compact, compartmentalized layout was thoughtfully transformed into a bright and welcoming sanctuary by designer Liz Myers.

The owners wanted to reimagine the home’s flow. The scope included relocating the kitchen, remodeling the primary bath, adding a second primary suite downstairs, and introducing a new family room for gathering.

Through close collaboration with the homeowner, contractor, and trades, Liz reworked the layout to create a natural sense of ease, thoughtfully selecting paint, tile, cabinetry, lighting, and fixtures along the way.

Beautiful pieces from Atelier Maison & Co.—including the kitchen stools, dining set, and select lighting—helped complete the look.

The result? A new chapter of entertaining and gathering at the Round Hill Retreat.
